OP 08 - 2024/06/01
Situation
40 Commando, supported by Joint Helicopter Command and 29 Commando successfully destroyed a frontline anti-air position and two supporting artillery batteries allowing Strategic Command and Borealos forces to secure a chance at taking the airfield which will hopefully start the process of scaling down the conflict on all sides. There are a few key positions and towns surrounding the airfield with significant enemy presence. Along with multiple anti-air assets in and around the airfield itself.
After destroying the anti-air position and artillery batteries focus was moved to the location of the remaining EMP device being stored away from the conflict at Pobeda dam. After securing and investigating the device, it was found to be disassembled however, with only a single component missing, the RTG (Strontium-90) core. It's exact location is currently unknown but its highly likely it was moved to the airfield after being removed from the disassembled device. The device has since been secured by BDF forces, moved into Borealos territory and is being secured while Royal Engineers are deployed to inspect the device and have it transported back to the UK as evidence.
During the events of the last operation, loyalist military forces around the capital took advantage of the war among Borealos and began to push back. Civilian population across Novograd have began rising up and taking arms against military forces aligned with the coup. Chatter around Dimitri Volkov has significantly decreased and his generals became more prominent and organised among intel assets. Weather this means Dimitri has left the country, gone into hiding or has simply delegated more responsibilities to his generals is unknown at this time.
Acknowledgements
The airfield to the North of the region has had a significant, three fold uptick in activity. Transport helicopters, trucks and troop movement have been identified moving West, reinforcing and securing positions as they advance. Anti-Air and Artillery emplacement are condensing to the North with a heavy build up for NPL infantry and armour across the region.
Borealos Defense Force has been green lit for support by our assets and may call upon 29 Commando and Joint Helicopter Command for fire missions, CAS and transport.

Intent & Tasking(s)
The intent of the following tasking's are to destroy the NPL reinforcement convoy entering the region to reinforce the airfield along with assisting BDF forces in securing the the airfield.
Overview #1 | Overview #2 | OBJ Ares
Borealos intel recovered during their advanced suggest the first of many reinforcement convoys are moving from inland to the region to reinforce and secure the airfield, our first priority tasking should be to ambush and destroy as much of thisthe convoy as possible, preventing it reaching its destination. Once the convoy has been engaged, BDF forces will begin making approach on the front line pushing deeper into Novograd territory and onto the airfield.
Secondary tasking enabled by the disruption and chaos of ambushing the convoy should allow a joint assault on the main airfield by StratCom and BDF forces. During the assault, warehouses and compounds should be searched for RTG core or intel regarding its whereabouts. Borealos special forces with an observation team overlooking the eastern side of the airfield reported during the late evening yesterday of multiple gunfire and a significant explosion near walls and gatehouse. Located east of OBJ Ares Bravo. This may be a point of interest for SSE to be conducted.
Optional tasking's could involve assaulting or disrupting known and marked NPL positions to the South and West of the airfield allowing better movement by StratCom assets.
