Op Spear 03 - 2024/07/20
Situation
After conducting successful operations throughout the green zone, a majority of the larger ZLF garrisons have been dismantled and remaining forces retreated. Based on intel gathered, it appears forces have been gathering in Qalandar preparing for an attack on Makan Aljamal to support efforts on destroying FOB Nauzad.
In the short term the decision was made to leave the IED factory operation which lead to a increase in IED threat during the last op when trying to recover the IDAP contact. Phantom is arriving back in the region shortly, known from intel gathered regarding a resupply of explosives. The exact time of his arrival is unknown but its highly likely they'll enter the region during the night.
Lastly, we recovered intel talking about tunnels being built from a "refinery" to a position able to support an attack on FOB Nauzad. The exact location of the tunnels entrance and exit(s) are unknown. There are only 4 refineries in close enough proximity to the FOB to make tunnelling a feasible idea in the timeframe available to them. ISTAR from above has turned up nothing obvious so far. Monitoring four different locations isn't currently feasible to keep eyes on with more objectives taking priority in the area, checking each refinery from the ground is our only option... maybe previous intel could help narrow this down to just one location?

Reference situation report for known factions and how to identify them
Within the green-zone is the majority of the civilian population. ZLF compounds may have little to no civilian presence however there is still likely to be civilians nearby. It is important we keep their opinions of our presence positive else ZLF may gain more of a foothold and members in the region.
Intent & Tasking(s)
The main intent of Operation Spear is to confirm the current status and possible location of Ryder Stone and to apprehend the "Phantom Maker" responsible for making the bombs that detonated in the UK port. Secondary intent is to assist CTD in removing ZLF by capturing and/or destroying leaders of their group along with their logistics network operating in the region.
The first tasking is OBJ Shield which is to secure and then defend the town of Makan Aljamal from a planned attack from Qalandar. Once attacks have be successfully repelled, with their forces morale ruined and nightfall ahead of them, will pose a significant opportunity to counter attack. OBJ Sword is to counter attack the garrisoned forces in Qalandar.
Once it's confirmed the Phantom has returned to the region and has been sighted at the IED factory the second tasking is to raid the position and capture the HVT and secure any intel that may be present on his person or at the location.
Optional tasking if time permits is to identify and locate the "refinery" discovered in the intel then investigate the mention of tunnels being built towards FOB Nauzad.
