Op Spear 04 - 2024/07/27
Situation
40 Command conducted a successful defence of Makan Aljamal and proceeded to dig in and fight towards Qalandar. ZLF numbers in the region have been significantly reduced, forces in the green zone should be reduced with garrisons under manned and any quick reaction forces limited in man power. The fighting in Qalandar persisted into the early hours of the night.
After confirming previously gathered intel regarding the arrival of Phantom back in the region and his arrival to his IED factory along side a Whitewater escort. 40 Commando planned and executed a raid, carefully clearing the IED factory and intercepting multiple reaction forces trying to re-secure Phantom who was securely evacuated to FOB Nauzad.
While clearing the 3 story IED factory building to secure the HVT, multiple devices and items were recovered. One important item of of intel recovered was a Whitewater team leaders cell phone that not only mentioned to the possible location of the main cache within the green zone but also the location of 2 out of 4 of our high value targets related to ZLF. Sadiq and Ryder are hauled up within a triangle shaped compound to the north.
Once recent item of intel discovered from the the Phantom's phone was that the missing RTG core stolen by remaining Whitewater assets in Novograd towards the end of the conflict had been smuggled unknowingly by IDAP into Pakistan by Ryder, concluding why ZLF recovered him, to resume their operations of using IDAP to smuggle their assets into and outside of Pakistan, have him make contact with the Whitewater personnel responsible for stealing the RTG core, have it turned into a dirty bomb and then presumably have it be then re-smuggled to its intended target.

Within the green-zone is the majority of the civilian population. ZLF compounds may have little to no civilian presence however there is still likely to be civilians nearby. It is important we keep their opinions of our presence positive else ZLF may gain more of a foothold and members in the region.
Intent & Tasking(s)
After securing Phantom during a raid on his IED factory, along with multiple important pieces of intelligence the intent of Operation Spear has adjusted. Our main priority has shifted focus to locating and securing the dirty bomb assembled using the RTG core stolen from Novograd. To accomplish this, our objective is to capture the three remaining high valued targets, Sadiq, Ryder and Khalid all confirmed to operating in Zarmilana. Gathering intel is going to be crucial to locating the device along with 'Hakim', now believed to be the leader of ZLF, currently operating out of Iran.
The main tasking is to raid the triangle compound, capture and secure both Sadiq and Ryder who are currently residing within the compound. ISTAR on the compound has confirmed their presence along with a breakdown of the likely layout of the compound.
Secondary tasking's include locating and destroying the ZLF main cache and IED storage in the green zone, along with locating the oil field being used to as a hub for tunnel construction.
