Situation

Following the successful execution of OP 03, our forces have made significant progress in disrupting Ivanov's regime and rescuing key personnel. However, the situation on Belmorra Island remains complex and volatile.

Zeuvo Prison Raid: 40 Commando and 45 Commando successfully raided Zeuvo Prison, rescuing 23 UK nationals, including the GCHQ operative. All were safely extracted to HMS Queen Elizabeth with only two sustaining minor injuries. Lucas Romanov, the leader of the Democratic Union of Belmorra (DUB), was not found among the prisoners as initially expected.

BLF Engagement: Communication with the Belmorra Freedom Fighters (BLF) attempted to secure the prison shortly after our forces' departure. They encountered Belmorran Special Forces who had breached the facility and extracted an unidentified prisoner. 

Infrastructure Disruption: Our forces successfully disabled the railway bridge and port railway entrance, significantly disrupting AFB's logistical operations in the southern region. This action has hampered their ability to move supplies and reinforcements efficiently.

AFB Mobilisation: In response to our recent operations, the Armed Forces of Belmorra (AFB) have intensified their military activities across the island. Key developments include:

  1. Increased frequency of logistic convoys to FOBs and supply depots.
  2. Enhanced organisation and coordination among Belmorran forces, indicating a more cohesive response to our operations.
  3. Deployment of tanks and heavy armour to southern FOBs, reinforcing QRF forces and preparing to push frontlines.
  4. Engineering teams establishing both temporary and permanent fortifications around the Main Operating Base (MOB), surrounding FOBs and checkpoints on vital roads.

Acknowledgements

  • Refer to the situation report for detailed information on known factions and identification protocols.
  • Civilian presence remains high in urban areas. Continue to exercise extreme caution to minimise collateral damage and maintain positive relations with the local population.
  • Ivanov's regime continues to control state media. Be aware that civilian information may be compromised or manipulated.
  • Any sightings or information related to Lucas Romanov or other high-value targets should be immediately reported through the appropriate chain of command.
  • The disruption of the railway infrastructure has likely forced AFB to rely more heavily on alternative supply routes. Be prepared for increased activity on roads and potential attempts to repair or bypass damaged infrastructure.
  • AFB has significantly bolstered its presence in the southern region. Expect increased resistance and more sophisticated defensive measures in future operations.

Commanders intent

The following operations goal is to continue to cripple AFB operations on Belmorra. Focusing heavily on securing key positions and raiding critical logistics assets, communications centres, and headquarters facilities while also gathering relevant intel to guide future actions. Gathering intel on the status and whereabouts of Lucas Romanov along with supplying the BLF with equipment to hold re-captured territory will aid in our ability to operate on Belmorra.

  • [OBJ Hera & OBJ Artemis] Disrupt troop movement and logistics flowing between the north and south by securing both towns. It is vital that both towns are secured to make this operation a success.
  • [OBJ Hera] Assault the town of Seredinskiy and the garrison within it. Secure and defend the town till friendly reinforcements arrive. 
  • [OBJ Artemis] Assault the town of Nekrasov. Secure and defend the town till friendly reinforcements arrive. 
  • If both towns are secured and successfully reinforced. Secondary raids on the castle the the North and FOB Lesnoi to the South will be vital in delaying counter attacks and provide an advantage defending the positions.
  • SSE enemy positions and secure all devices and documents.

Joint Aviation Command

  • [OBJ Hera] ISTAR FOB Kommayak and ensure its not a threat to planned tasking's, destroy if necessary or appropriate. 
  • [OBJ Hera] Insert 40 Commando, 45 Commando and 29 Commando to a HLS on the eastern coastline. Provide close air and logistical support, deploying reinforcements to the area if the town is secured.
  • [OBJ Artemis] Provide close air and logistical support, deploying reinforcements to the area if the town is secured. Exfil 40 Commando, 45 Commando and 29 Commando from the AO back to Atamanka Airfield.
