Situation

The assassination of President Alexander at yesterday's rally marks a critical destabilisation of Narukova's political landscape, revealing deep-rooted infiltration of state institutions by Besmrtni Vukovi (BV). The coordinated attack demonstrated sophisticated planning and insider knowledge, utilising multiple diversionary tactics to overwhelm NDC and StratCom forces pulling security at the rally.

40 Commando's maritime and aerial coverage initially intercepted multiple armed vessels attempting to breach the rally's perimeter. While engaging these threats, BV forces exploited NDC security vulnerabilities, deploying personnel north of the rally's perimeter. Despite rapid response from 40 Commando via Wildcat deployment, these attacks served their intended purpose as diversions.

The primary assault vector - multiple Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs) - successfully targeted NDC checkpoints. Most critically, a VBIED concealed in an ambulance detonated at the medical tents where President Alexander had been evacuated while awaiting extraction via helicopter, inflicting substantial injuries. The subsequent evacuation attempt by NDC forces ended in catastrophe when their Blackhawk was downed by stolen Stinger missiles - the same weapons captured during the airport raid by BV a few days prior.

Joint Aviation Command successfully extracted the President from the western approach, though he ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the secure medical facility. Post-attack raids by 40 Commando on BV positions yielded critical intelligence revealing Vice President Satoshi as the architect of this coup, working in concert with his brother "Drago", BV's founder.

This intelligence suggests a broader conspiracy, with BV's influence extending deep within NDC's command structure. The extent of this compromise remains unknown, but evidence indicates preparation for territorial expansion leveraging their newly acquired authority. The presence of newly acquired Russian military equipment indicates external actors are supplying BV's operations, with the possibility of deeper involvement.

BV has evolved beyond an insurgent group, demonstrating sophisticated operational capabilities and deep political infiltration. Their coordination of complex attacks, coupled with Vice President Satoshi's involvement and potential foreign support, marks them as a state-level threat and further disruption of shipping in the region which has already become untenable. This requires both an immediate strategic pivot and careful assessment of compromised NDC assets and personnel.

Commanders intent

Narukova Defence Corps (NDC) under the leadership of Satoshi Ōkami in collaboration with Besmrtni Vukovi (BV) successfully attempted to assassinate the sitting President of Narukova, Alexander Takahashi. Current intent of the following operation is to sabotage and destroy NDC equipment that threatens our ability to operate in the region while gathering intelligence on how deep routed the conspiracy goes within the NDC. Once the situation becomes clearer, our focus will shift to dismantling BV and conspiring NDC personnel along with the capture of Satoshi and his brother "Drago".
