Op Noble Desert 01 - 2025/04/12

Situation

With the full support of President Mugambe, United Kingdom Forces have initiated deployment into southwestern Kambala, focusing on areas where the Sons of Bala insurgent group maintains significant presence. While our official mission of supporting regional stability is publicly acknowledged, the specific movements of UK personnel remain classified due to strong intelligence suggesting corrupt elements within the Kambalan Armed Forces (KAF) are providing material support to the insurgents. The success of our operations relies on maintaining operational security regarding force positioning and tactical objectives, particularly from compromised KAF officers who may alert Sons of Bala leadership.

President Mugambe has granted authorisation for UK forces to secure a functioning airfield and establish a Forward Operating Base in the vicinity due to the lack of existing military infrastructure in the remote area. This FOB will serve as our central hub for intelligence gathering, tactical planning, and counter-insurgency operations. Engineering assets are en route to commence construction immediately upon securing the airfield perimeter, with initial operational capability expected within 72 hours of deployment. Liaison officers from trusted KAF units will be integrated into base security protocols to maintain the appearance of joint operations while preserving critical information security.

Intelligence reports indicate that General Sefu Okoro, a high-ranking member of the Sons of Bala leadership structure, was recently observed in the vicinity of Chunguliski, a small agricultural community where his extended family maintains properties and farmland. Initial operations conducted before our arrival into the region have been attempting to develop a network of local informants to track Okoro's movements without alerting him to our presence.
