Mini Operation - 29/06/2024 (OP 02)
Situation
40 Command secured a beachhead to the West of Malden then successfully planted the device along with neutralising the anti-air emplacements within the area of operation. After monitoring the data from the device over the night, we managed to identify 3 IP addresses tied to small businesses in the area that were responsible for posting misinformation on twitter. Its believed that the fibre connection to them is being exploited by via a wireless connection in the form of a antenna or satellite on the roof to hide 'Nikolai Smith' true location.
Acknowledgements
The main conflict between the Malden Defence Force (MDF) and insurgents is concentrated in the east, with MDF garrisoned at the airfield and insurgents entrenched in the main city, Le Port.
The insurgents have deployed heavy anti-air (AA) defences on the east side of the island, including static missile and gun emplacements, as well as infantry equipped with handheld anti-air weapons.
Civilian presence across the island is minimal. Any civilians not involved in the conflict have either relocated off the island or moved to towns in the north, which remain relatively untouched by the conflict.
Intent & Tasking(s)
The intent of the following tasking's is to track down the current location of hacker 'Nikolai Smith' and attempt to capture him alive.

Objective Hawk has been broken up into 3 locations. These are small businesses with fibre connection believed to be exploited by Nikolai via a satellite or antenna connection on the rooftop. Tasking is to get eyes on the objectives and confirm the bearings of any satellite dishes or antennas that may point to the HVT's location. Only 2/3 should be needed, but all 3 may provide a more accurate location.
Once the building/compound/location has been discovered, 40Cdo is to recce the location, identify any clues to Nikolai's whereabouts at the location and plan a raid that ensures he has no chance to get away. Manoeuvring too the location may involve navigating or fighting through multiple insurgent forces depending on how deep into Insurgent territory it is. Once the HVT is captured all forces should immediately return to HMS Dauntless and HMS Queen Elizabeth with the HVT.
