Situation

The successful raid on OBJ Serpent has significantly altered our understanding of the regional conflict. Intelligence gathered from the compound confirms that COST (China Overseas Security Team) is the primary architect behind the regional destabilisation, using the Sons of Bala as proxies while simultaneously manipulating elements within the Kambalan Armed Forces through Minister Kwame Okafor and Colonel Abasi Nkosi.

Reviewing past archived footage from the KNA broadcasts a 2021 COVID-19 response press conference where Minister Okafor praised his teams ability to deliver quick relief to the citizens of Kambala while not only maintaining but also increasing exports from his region. Analysis of this footage revealed Kofi talking to a suspect COST agent standing in the background during the press conference. This long-established relationship explains the extensive infiltration COST has achieved within Kambalan governmental structures and provides context for the sophisticated coordination between compromised KAF elements and COST operations.

Satellite imagery and intercepted communications indicate COST has initiated their planned invasion, advancing from staging areas near the western border. Their operational framework, as detailed in recovered communications, follows a three-phase approach: 1) Establish forward operating positions along the western corridor, 2) Secure key infrastructure and resource extraction sites in central Kambala, and 3) Establish a permanent security presence extending to the northern river, effectively controlling all significant mineral deposits in the region.

President Mugambe has issued direct orders authorising unrestricted UK force engagement against all COST elements, suspending previous rules of engagement set forth by his government regarding limited operations against foreign actors. This authorisation comes with the explicit understanding that COST's presence constitutes an unauthorised foreign military operation on sovereign Kambalan territory.

Of significant concern is intelligence suggesting COST has deployed sophisticated electronic warfare capabilities, anti-air defences, and mechanised assets beyond those previously observed in the region.

Commanders intent

Intent for this operation is to conduct a series of limited engagements and tactical withdrawals against advancing COST elements to disrupt their operational tempo and prevent their rapid advance toward the northern river. We will target command nodes, logistics chains, and forward reconnaissance elements to degrade their operational effectiveness while preserving our force strength through mobility and avoidance of decisive engagement against superior numbers. Priority objective is halting COST advance before they establish control of the river crossing, thereby preventing their access to the resource-rich northern territories.
